Marine animals
There are 31 different phyla of living animals. All are found in the sea. Nearly 50% of the animal phyla are worms. There are many worms in the sea, usually annelids and they live in every part of the sea, from the sandy beach to the deep part of the sea. 80% of all animal species are arthropods. Over 35000 kinds live in the sea and 880,000 (mostly insects) live on the land. Greeks can easily understand what arthropods are: they have a hard shell and jointed limbs.
